In the 3rd Episode of Tech Tuesday, Logesh (Software Test Development Engineer) with Cloud Assert talks on how to ease the SQL Migration process using Hybr VConnect and how to migrate more than one database at a time.

There are various instances where single or multiple databases needed to be move. Reasons might be

  • Shifting to a new server.
  • Shifting to different instances of SQL.

  • Development server creation or moving live to a production server.

  • Backup database restoration.

For SQL migration generally, we opt for the command line or Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). Depending on the requirement, an option can be chosen.  Backing up manually and database restoration Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio is an easy approach for single or few. For bulk data migration command line method can be processed to speed it up. But beforehand preparation is a must if the huge data transfer is happening. We recommend you to watch the video till the end for the deep down understanding.
