Previously on Tech Tuesday #11 it was briefed about how to Purchase & Manage CSP offers via HYBR. Once the HYBR tenant portal is mapped with a valid CSP customer, in the cloud service offers under the Service Catalog module will pull in all the available offers for the mapped tenant. This will allow the tenant to purchase the offer which will be suitable for them. Subscriptions, offers, and purchases are also covered in the video.

 

In this Tech Tuesday, Mr. Aswin a Software Engineer in Cloud Assert will walk us through on how to track and bill subscriptions using Hybr. Firstly it is briefed about how Hybr bills the purchased CSP products. In Hybr admin portal, the Billing module takes care of all your billing needs. In the Billing module dashboard, the following data such as the number of users ( Tenants), subscriptions, databases, CSP licenses, VMs, total running VMs, total cores, total memory, and total storage are available. There are types of two pricing profiles that are available. 


  1. Usage-based model
  2. License based model


In the usage-based model, Hybr itself automatically gets the Microsoft pricing profiles with help of Microsoft API. In the license-based model user has to import or download it from the Microsoft partner center. As Microsoft will update its pricing each month it has to be downloaded every month for current pricing. In the partner center portal pricing and offer page, we can find the license-based services, usage-based services, license-based services(prices list pilot), Microsoft Azure reserved instances and software subscription. 

 

In the offer module, plans page we can choose the desired plan or a new plan can also be created. On this page which is shown in the video, we have mapped the new pricing profile to the existing plan. It is applicable for all the tenant users who are associated with this plan.
